Role Overview :

As a Release Engineer at RTS, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our software solutions to our airline clients. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to build, automate, and maintain our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your expertise will be critical in streamlining our release processes, improving software quality, and reducing time-to-market. You will be based in Bangalore and contribute to both on-premises and cloud-based deployments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and other relevant tools to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate code changes, resolve build issues, and ensure adherence to release engineering best practices.

- Manage and maintain our build infrastructure, including build servers, artifact repositories, and deployment environments, both on AWS and on-premises.

- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate release-related tasks, such as code merging, versioning, and environment configuration.

- Troubleshoot and resolve release-related issues, working closely with development, QA, and operations teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

- Implement and enforce release management policies and procedures to ensure consistent and reliable software releases.

- Monitor and improve the performance and stability of our CI/CD pipelines, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

- Contribute to the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and AWS services.

- Proven expertise in build and release engineering principles and practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing.

- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automating build and release tasks.

- Solid understanding of .NET development and deployment, including experience with .NET build tools and package management.

- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, and CloudFormation.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex release-related issues.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 6 to 10 years of experience in Build & Release Engineering.
