Program Manager (IT)


Location : Goregaon West, Mumbai, Maharashtra


Experience Required : 6+ years in IT Program/Project Management


Key Requirements :


- Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of 3045 days


- Excellent communication skills


- Mumbai-based candidates preferred, especially those located along the Western Line.


Role Overview :


The IT Program Manager will be responsible for leading & managing a hybrid team of Project Managers and Business Analysts. This role will bridge the gap between our technical IT teams (Developers, Infrastructure) and our business units (Field Operations, Sales, Customer Service) and ensure all IT initiatives are delivered on time by the PMs.


The Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple IT initiatives, aligning technology programs with business objectives, and ensuring successful project delivery through effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.


The incumbent will report to the Chief Information Officer. The incumbent will have to work as part of a multi-functional team, and this involves collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders.


Job Responsibilities :


- Partner with the CIO to define and maintain the IT Project Roadmap, balancing "keep the lights on" maintenance with innovation initiatives.


- Manage the "intake funnel" for new project requests from VPs (Ops, Finance, Sales etc), ensuring all requests are scored, sized, and prioritized based on ROI and strategic value.


- Provide transparent, executive-level reporting on product portfolio health, budget variance, and risk exposure to the C-Suite.


- Manage, mentor, and hire a hybrid team of Project Managers and Business Analysts.


- Standardise delivery methodologies : Implement frameworks for Requirements Gathering (e.g., User Stories, Process Maps) and Project Execution (Agile for apps, Waterfall for ERPs).


- Allocate resources dynamically across the portfolio to prevent bottlenecks.


- Act as the primary escalation point for business stakeholders regarding project scope, timeline, or quality issues.


- Manage relationships with external software vendors and system integrators to ensure accountability and contract adherence.

Educational Qualification / Other Requirement :


- Any Software/Engineering Bachelors


- MBA in a technology-related field.


- 5- 10 years of experience managing a team of BAs/PM or similar roles.


- Deep understanding of SDLC & methodologies (Agile/Scrum and Waterfall approaches).


- Proficient with tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, and Visio for project management)


- ERP/CRM ecosystems knowledge


- Financial & budgeting insight & Competent in ROI calculation and assessing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)


Key Skills & Requirements :


- Strong communication and stakeholder management


- Experience in SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)


- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Visio


- Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems


- Financial and budgeting understanding
