Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Architect to work as an Individual Contributor, supporting business product development by defining and governing functional architecture aligned with enterprise principles.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define the functional scope of IS products aligned with business needs

- Design target architecture and roadmap for implementation

- Ensure decoupling, reuse, and consistency of components

- Identify data sources, interfaces, and macro-impacts on existing systems

- Lead architecture definition workshops with business and product teams

- Validate product and solution architecture through Architecture Committee

- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product teams during implementation

- Ensure alignment with Business Information Model (BIM)

- Create / update data models for the given scope

- Maintain architecture documentation in the architecture repository

- Support studies such as as-is analysis, target definition, and transformation roadmap

Architecture documents such as :

- Motivation Diagram

- Context Diagram

- Solution Concept Diagram

- Business Process Diagram

- Application Solution Diagram

- Enrichment of Business Information Model (BIM)

Relevant Experience :

- 9 to 15 years of experience in Information Systems / Architecture roles

- Skill SAP Functional Architect SD

- Location - Chennai

Business Competencies :

- Strong understanding of business drivers and technology trends

- Ability to assess market and technology impact on business

- Define and contribute to architecture guiding principles

- Design functional architecture aligned with enterprise strategy

Technical Competencies :

- Legacy application modernization using Cloud technologies

- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred

Soft Skills :

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to explain architectural decisions clearly to business users

- Pragmatic approach (value-driven, not technology-driven)

- Strong team collaboration skills

- Experience in Sales & Distribution domain
