Position Purpose :

A Enterprise Data Architect is a professional who develops, manages and maintains banks data architecture strategy and roadmap. He is a person who ensures common data and database architecture standards are followed across the organization. Enterprise Data Architect works across all the IT departments including data engineering, analytics, and client insights to design and implement standardized and consistent data architecture across OLAP and OLTP data areas.

Position Responsibilities :

- Ensure data accuracy by analyzing current processes and developing future strategies to improve business efficiency.

- Execute Database governance across the organization by closely working with DBA team

- Design and implementation of Modern Data Warehouse using modern data architecture patterns like data mesh, medallion, and data fabric

- Participate in weekly ARB (Architecture Governance Board) to review new applications data architecture and provide recommendations as per industry standards

- Ability to guide senior management by recommending right tools and data platforms by considering technical, operational, and costing related parameters

- Extensive knowledge and implementation experience of Google Cloud Data Platform using BigQuery, Dataflow, and related native GCP services

- Nice to have knowledge of Azure Synapse and Databricks

- Good skills on AI/ML and exposure to Gen AI

- Good technical skills on OLTP databases like Oracle and SQL Server

- Create and update data architecture, migration, and database standards SOPs and guidelines

- Ability to collaborate with IT heads, CIO and other senior management people

- Ability to participate in leadership meetings and presentation

- Strong people management skills

Qualifications and Experience Requirement :

- Essential GCP Data platform services certified

- BE(IT Graduation) / Masters degree

Experience :

- Essential 18+ years of experience as a data architect

- OLAP - Google Cloud data platform Services, BigQuery, Dataflow, Data Plex, pub-sub, cloud composer

- OLAP - ADF, Azure Synapse, Databricks

- OLTP - Oracle and SQL Server ( At least hands on exp on one of the databases)

Skills :

- Technical & Functional A good knowledge of logical and physical database design

- Good knowledge of data modeling techniques

- Hands-on knowledge of implementing complex cloud data migrations. Examples Synapse to GCP, Databricks to GCP

- Excellent understanding of data quality concepts, rules, tools and frameworks

- Excellent understanding of data governance components
