Role Overview :

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are passionate about working with data, building pipelines, and working on modern data platforms like Databricks.

You will support data ingestion, transformation, and analytics use cases while working with cloud-based tools and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources

- Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation

- Work on Databricks notebooks for data processing

- Support development of data models and data warehouses

- Write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis

- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues

- Document workflows and data processes

Required Skills :

Technical Skills :

- Basic knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, filtering)

- Understanding of Python (Pandas / PySpark basics preferred)

- Familiarity with ETL concepts

- Basic understanding of databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

- Exposure to Databricks (notebooks, clusters, basic workflows)

- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts

- Working knowledge of Excel

Databricks-Specific Expectations (Fresher Level) :

- Basic understanding of the Databricks platform

- Ability to run and modify Databricks notebooks

- Exposure to PySpark basics (DataFrames, simple transformations)

- Understanding of Delta Lake concepts (ACID, tables - basic awareness)

- Familiarity with data ingestion using Databricks (batch level)

Good to Have :

- Basic knowledge of Azure Data Factory / AWS Glue

- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric / Power Query

- Internship/project experience using Databricks or big data tools

Educational Qualification :

- B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, Electronics)

Sample Day in the Role :

- Check data pipeline runs on Databricks
