Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer with strong expertise in MySQL and AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance optimization, high availability, automation, and managing large-scale production systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and optimize MySQL databases for performance and scalability

- Work with AWS RDS and Aurora for cloud-based database solutions

- Implement high availability, replication, and failover strategies

- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems

- Automate database operations using scripting (Python/Bash)

- Handle backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes

- Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system improvements

Mandatory Skills :

- 6+ years of experience in Database Administration

- Strong expertise in MySQL (performance tuning, replication, indexing)

- Hands-on experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora)

- Experience in database performance optimization & troubleshooting

- Knowledge of High Availability / Failover mechanisms

- Scripting experience (Python / Bash / Shell)

- Experience with monitoring tools (PMM / New Relic / Datadog / Grafana)

Good to Have :

- PostgreSQL/MongoDB

- Terraform/Infrastructure as Code

- DevOps tools (CI/CD, GitHub)

- Exposure to AI/ML use cases in databases

Soft Skills :

- Strong communication and collaboration

- Ability to work in production/on-call environments
