Role Overview :

Aceis is seeking an experienced Power BI QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data validation, SQL, and data modeling, with the ability to validate complex data transformations and ensure dashboards meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform quality assurance and validation of Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.

- Validate data accuracy and integrity from source systems to Power BI reports.

- Review and test data models built on Star Schema architecture.

- Validate complex DAX calculations, including context transition and time intelligence functions.

- Perform source-to-report reconciliation using strong SQL querying skills.

- Test and validate dashboards connected to Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.

- Validate Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI App audience configurations.

- Ensure dashboards follow performance optimization and best practices.

- Participate in Dev, Test, and Production deployment workflows.

- Work closely with Power BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to resolve data and reporting issues.

- Document test cases, QA processes, and validation results.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in Power BI development or QA.

- Strong understanding of Star Schema data modeling.

- Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).

- Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.

- Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.

- Hands-on experience with Power BI security features, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and App audience settings.

- Understanding of Power BI deployment pipelines and environment management (Dev/Test/Prod).

- Experience working within structured QA processes and testing frameworks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in enterprise-scale BI environments.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines.

- Exposure to Agile or Scrum development environments.
