Responsibilities :

- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.

- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.

- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

- Track quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts.

- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

- Provide hands-on support during urgent needs or release cycles to ensure on-time, quality deliveries.

Requirements :

- Engineering background with a solid understanding of software development and QA fundamentals.

- Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies; experience with manual testing.

- Familiarity with bug/issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).

- Exposure to writing and executing automation scripts using open-source frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) is a plus.

- Awareness of SQL for data validation and API testing concepts (e.g., Postman, REST/GraphQL).

- Ability to estimate effort, prioritize tasks, and manage testing activities across multiple releases.

- Strong documentation skills for test cases, test results, and defect reports.

- Willingness to learn rapidly, adapt to changing priorities, and support urgent production/release needs.

Skills :

- Eagerness to learn, with strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.

- Good written and verbal communication; able to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and support teams.

- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

- Flexibility to support time-sensitive testing, including regression and hotfix validation.

- Awareness of test automation tools and frameworks, SQL proficiency, and API testing experience.
