About the Role :

This role is backend-focused, involving end-to-end ownership of application development, system optimization, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Linux environments, enjoys solving real-world problems, and takes responsibility from design to production deployment.

Frontend development, AI/ML, and LLM experience are not mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

Core Responsibilities :

- End-to-End Backend Development : Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and APIs from concept to production.

- Build & Maintain Scalable Systems : Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while improving system performance, reliability, and scalability.

- System Optimization & Debugging : Identify performance bottlenecks, debug production issues, and implement long-term fixes.

- Linux-Based Development : Work extensively on Linux systems using the command line for development, troubleshooting, deployments, and monitoring.

- User-Centric Problem Solving : Collaborate with internal users and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

- Security & Best Practices : Implement secure coding practices, handle authentication/authorization, and ensure data protection and system safety.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross-functional and global teams, clearly communicating progress, challenges, and solutions.

Additional / Optional Responsibilities :

- Support internal tools, automation, and process improvements.

- Assist with client-facing or consultancy engagements when required.

- Deliver short internal technical or IT knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills (Must-Have) :

- 3 - 5 years of experience in backend development using Python and/or PHP

- Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and server-side logic

- Hands-on experience working in Linux environments (CLI mandatory)

Good understanding of :

- REST APIs

- TCP/IP, DNS (basic networking concepts)

- Experience in building and maintaining secure and scalable systems

- Ability to debug and resolve complex backend and system-level issues

Good to Have (Not Mandatory) :

- Exposure to cloud platforms or deployment tools

- Experience using AI tools for productivity (code assistance, debugging, documentation)

- Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)

- Note : Frontend development, AI/ML, and LLM expertise are not mandatory for this role.
