Python Developer - Kafka/ClickHouse

Description :

Role : Single Python Development+ DBA+kafka Engineer.

Location : Bangalore.

Experience : 5 to 7 Years.

Key Responsibilities :

- Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SingleStore databases.

- Data Ingestion: Manage SingleStore Pipelines for real-time streaming and batch data ingestion.

- Performance Tuning: Optimize queries, indexes, and schema for speed and scalability.

- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up observability tools, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and resolve database issues.

- Backup & Recovery: Implement and validate robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.

- Security: Apply database security best practices and manage access control.

- Automation: Develop Python and Shell scripts to automate repetitive DBA tasks.

- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for seamless system integration.

Required Skills :

- Strong expertise in SingleStore (or similar columnar databases such as ClickHouse or Snowflake).

- Understanding of columnstore vs. rowstore design and optimization strategies.

- Proficiency in SQL complex queries, stored procedures, and query optimization.

- Python and Unix Shell scripting for automation and monitoring.

Qualifications :

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Experience: 35+ years as a Database Administrator, including 12 years of hands-on experience with SingleStore or other distributed SQL system.
