About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade backend platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Python backend architecture, GenAI/LLM-based systems, and modern SDLC practices, along with the ability to guide teams and drive architectural decisions.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design high-performance backend systems and build innovative solutions using emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

System Design & Architecture :

- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance Python backend systems.

- Define system architecture, technical standards, and design frameworks.

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Ensure smooth integration with existing enterprise platforms and services.

GenAI / LLM-Based Systems :

- Build and architect GenAI-driven solutions including agents, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and orchestration frameworks.

- Design and implement AI-powered backend services to support intelligent applications.

SDLC Best Practices :

- Drive adoption of modern software engineering practices, including :

1. Clean code standards

2. Code reviews

3. Automated testing strategies

4. CI/CD pipelines

5. Monitoring, observability, and logging

- Ensure production-grade deployments and reliable system performance.

Leadership & Mentorship :

- Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Lead architectural discussions and influence technical direction across teams.

Architectural Ownership :

- Own end-to-end architecture decisions for backend platforms.

- Work with leadership and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and scalable system strategies.

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

- 8- 15 years of experience in Python backend development and architecture.

- Strong expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.

- Hands-on experience designing scalable backend architectures and microservices.

- Experience building or integrating GenAI / LLM-based systems including RAG and AI agents.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production deployments.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.

Good to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.

- Exposure to distributed systems and microservices architectures.
