Pump Academy Private Limited (PAPL) is a DPIIT-recognized deep-tech company building iPUMPNET, an advanced Industrial IIoT platform for intelligent monitoring, optimization, and predictive analytics of pumping infrastructure across water utilities and industrial systems.

The platform spans field instrumentation, edge gateways, cloud platforms, AI/ML analytics, and command-centre visualization, and is deployed at scale across major utilities. PAPL is now transitioning iPUMPNET into a cloud-native SaaS platform for large-scale global deployment.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in backend development, IoT systems, and team leadership. The role involves designing scalable systems, handling high-volume real-time data, and leading a development team.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Design scalable backend systems for IoT data ingestion and processing

- Develop APIs and services using .NET (C#)

- Ensure high performance for real-time/time-series data systems

- Define coding standards and review code

IoT Systems :

- Work on MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets protocols

- Build telemetry pipelines (real-time & batch)

- Handle device data inconsistencies and network failures

Database :

- Optimize MS SQL Server databases

- Write efficient queries, stored procedures, JSON handling

- Ensure performance tuning and indexing

Frontend Collaboration :

- Work with ReactJS teams

- Ensure seamless API integration

Team Management :

- Lead and mentor developers

- Manage delivery timelines

- Break down requirements and assign tasks

Delivery :

- Own end-to-end delivery

- Work with QA, DevOps, Product teams

- Participate in Agile processes

Desired Candidate Profile :

Experience :

- 8-10 years in software development

- Minimum 3 years in leadership role

- Experience in IoT and Time Series systems preferred

Technical Skills :

- Strong in .NET (C#), Web APIs, Background services

- MS SQL Server advanced level

- ReactJS integration knowledge

- IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets)

- Message brokers (RabbitMQ or similar)

System Design :

- Scalable, fault-tolerant architecture

- Real-time data processing

DevOps :

- CI/CD pipelines

- Docker basics

- Cloud exposure (preferred)
