Job Title : SAP MDG Consultant (Contract to Hire)

Company : RHI Magnesita (via Protiviti Initial Contract)

Employment Type : Contract - Initial 6 months with Protiviti (payroll)

Post 6 months, transition to RHI Magnesita permanent role based on performance

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced MDG with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing MDG.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, where the candidate will be employed by Protiviti for the first 6 months, post which they will transition to RHI Magnesita's permanent payroll based on performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Functional Responsibilities :

- Work with business stakeholders to gather and analyze master data requirements

- Configure SAP MDG for domains such as :

1. Customer (MDG-C)

2. Vendor/Supplier (MDG-S)

3. Material (MDG-M)

4. Finance (MDG-F)

- Design and implement data governance processes, workflows, validation rules

- Ensure alignment of MDG processes with business standards and compliance requirements

Technical Responsibilities :

- Develop and enhance MDG-specific objects :

1. Data models

2. UI configurations (FPM / Web Dynpro)

3. Business Rule Framework (BRF+)

- Implement and support :

1. Data replication using DRF (Data Replication Framework)

2. Enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits

- Work on ABAP development for MDG customizations

- Build integrations with external systems using IDocs, Web Services, APIs

Data Quality & Governance :

- Define and enforce data quality rules and validations

- Implement duplicate check mechanisms and match-merge processes

- Monitor and improve master data consistency

Integration & Support :

- Integrate MDG with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems

- Provide production support and resolve issues related to master data workflows

- Work on performance optimization of MDG processes

Testing & Documentation :

- Prepare functional and technical specifications

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT

- Maintain documentation for configurations and developments

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Experience :

- 5 years of SAP experience, with :

1. Hands-on experience in SAP MDG implementation/support

2. Exposure to at least one full lifecycle implementation project

Technical Skills :

SAP MDG Expertise :

- Strong knowledge of :

1. MDG Data Models

2. Workflow Configuration

3. UI Modeling (Floorplan Manager FPM)

4. BRF+ (Business Rule Framework)

SAP Technical Skills :

- ABAP (enhancements, reports, forms, debugging)

- BAdIs, Enhancements, User Exits

- IDocs, ALE, DRF

Functional Knowledge :

- Understanding of master data processes in :

1. Finance (FI)

2. Sales & Distribution (SD)

3. Materials Management (MM)

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with S/4HANA MDG

- Knowledge of SAP Data Quality Management tools

- Exposure to SAP Fiori apps for MDG

- Familiarity with SAP CPI / integration tools

Certifications (Mandatory) :

- SAP MDG Certification

- SAP S/4HANA Certification

- ABAP or relevant functional module certification
