AEM PROJECT MANAGER

Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced AEM Project Manager with 8+ years of overall IT experience and strong experience managing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including planning, governance, stakeholder management, Agile/Scrum execution, resource coordination, risk management, release management, and post-production stabilization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AEM-based digital experience, website, CMS, and transformation projects from discovery through deployment and stabilization.
- Own project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, resources, deliverables, and overall delivery governance.
- Coordinate AEM developers, architects, UI/UX, QA, DevOps, content, business, and support teams.
- Manage AEM website redesigns, enhancements, migrations, content implementations, and digital experience initiatives.
- Work with technical teams to understand AEM components, templates, DAM, integrations, environments, releases, and production dependencies.
- Coordinate Figma/UI/UX handoffs and ensure business requirements are converted into actionable delivery plans.
- Manage multi-region or multi-market AEM deployments and localized content rollouts where applicable.
- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
- Maintain RAID logs and proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, blockers, and escalations.
- Track sprint progress, velocity, release readiness, project health, quality, and delivery milestones.
- Manage scope changes, priorities, resource allocation, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Act as the primary delivery contact for clients, senior stakeholders, Product Owners, business teams, and technical leadership.
- Conduct project reviews, governance meetings, executive updates, stakeholder demos, and status reporting.
- Manage external vendors and implementation partners, including deliverables, SLAs, dependencies, and escalations.
- Lead release planning, deployment readiness, production releases, and post-release stabilization.
- Coordinate incident, change management, and AEM AMS/Application Management Services activities where applicable.
- Ensure smooth transition from project delivery to production support and ongoing application management.
What Were Looking For:
- 8+ years of overall experience with strong Project/Program Management experience.
- Proven experience managing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects and digital transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of AEM CMS, DAM, website delivery, content implementation, enhancements, and migrations.
- Experience managing the complete AEM project lifecycle from requirements/discovery to deployment and stabilization.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and working with cross-functional technology teams.
- Excellent project planning, governance, delivery tracking, RAID management, and risk mitigation experience.
- Strong client, stakeholder, vendor, and executive communication skills.
- Experience coordinating AEM Developers, QA, UI/UX, DevOps, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and support teams.
- Experience in release management, production readiness, stabilization, and AMS/support transition.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, escalation management, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
Good to Have:
- Experience with AEM AMS / Application Management Services.
- Experience managing global or multi-region AEM implementations.
- Exposure to Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Analytics, or Adobe Target.
- Experience with ITSM and ServiceNow.
- Experience in BFSI, FMCG, Retail, or large enterprise digital transformation programs.
- CSM, PMP, SAFe, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS.
