Ideal Candidate Profile :

We are seeking a Project Delivery Engineer with a strong project delivery background, deep expertise in firewall technologies, and prior MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with SonicWall and WatchGuard firewalls, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Project Scope :

The primary responsibility involves executing firewall migration projects where clients transition from SonicWall to WatchGuard firewalls. The engineer will :

- Receive project tickets for firewall replacement

- Access and assess existing SonicWall configurations

- Rebuild and replicate configurations on WatchGuard firewalls

- Collaborate with procurement for device shipment

- Coordinate with on-site teams for installation and racking

- Remain on standby during deployment to validate functionality and troubleshoot issues

During non-project periods, the engineer will support firewall-related activities in collaboration with the vulnerability management team.

General Responsibilities :

- Deploy advanced technical solutions, including but not limited to new deployments and service modifications

- Maintain minimum billable utilization of 80%

- Provide excellent support to customers remotely or onsite as needed

- Execute complex migrations and configurations

- Document migration and infrastructure changes and prepare for steady state support post implementation

- Communicate clearly both internally and externally on progress, issues, and scope changes

- Adapt and provide solutions when plans change or do not meet project requirements

- Provide input and recommendations to assist with project creation and planning

- Design and build GPOs to enforce policies across organizations

- Install and configure virtual machines and hosts

- Build cloud and on-premises physical servers

- Configure Azure AD and Microsoft Entra Connect to O365

- Troubleshoot advanced applications and servers

- Build and design networks, including firewall configurations, switch configurations, and wireless networks

- Build and design Active Directory infrastructure (on-premises and Azure AD) following best practices

- Deploy high-availability infrastructure (networking, virtualization, clustering)

- Deploy backup and recovery technologies

Required Skills and Experience :

- 8- 12 years of overall IT experience with strong project delivery background

- Intermediate knowledge of Intune and Autopilot

- Expertise in Windows configurations and services

- Advanced knowledge of DNS (internal and external)

- Advanced knowledge of networking (physical and virtual)

- Advanced knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, or OCI)

- Advanced knowledge of virtualization, clustering, and high availability

- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory (both on-premises and Azure AD)

- Advanced knowledge of M365 licensing, configuration, best practices, and feature set

Required Language Skills :

- Ability to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal

- Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures

- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and stakeholders

Bonus Points :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

- Certifications such as Microsoft role-based certifications, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, ITIL

- Experience with ConnectWise (Manage, Automate, Control), SCCM, or similar service management tools

- Subject matter expertise in technologies such as Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, or Cisco

- Prior MSP experience
