Job Description

About CAI Software - Discrete Manufacturing Business Unit

CAI Software is a leading provider of specialized software for discrete and process manufacturers across Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial Materials, and Precious Metals. The Discrete Manufacturing business unit is building the AI-native execution platform for discrete manufacturers - anchored by ShopVue (shop-floor execution), DataVue (Business Central-native vertical ERP), and CAI Connect (the integration fabric binding both to the customer's broader ecosystem).

We are scaling our Bangalore Center of Excellence (COE) as a strategic extension of our U.S. operations. The COE is not a cost center - it is a core delivery engine for our Customer Experience organization, staffed with experienced consultants who work alongside our domestic senior consultants and architects to deliver for enterprise customers.

Role Overview :

We are hiring Professional Services Consultants to join the CAI Discrete COE PS team, supporting implementations of ShopVue - CAI's Manufacturing Execution System for Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, and Industrial Materials manufacturers. ShopVue is CAI's flagship growth product, with ShopVue Cloud launching in beta at the end of 2026 and 84+ named migration candidates lined up for 2027. You will work alongside senior U.S.-based MES consultants to deliver implementations, configurations, shop-floor integrations, and custom extensions.

What You'll Do :

- Execute ShopVue implementation tasks under the direction of senior consultants - configuration, data setup, testing, and user enablement.

- Configure work orders, routings, operations, labor tracking, and production confirmation workflows to customer-specific manufacturing processes.

- Develop and maintain ShopVue customizations, extensions, and integrations with customer ERP, PLM, and shop-floor systems.

- Support shop-floor integrations - barcode scanners, label printers, data collection terminals, SCADA and IIoT signals.

- Execute data migration from legacy MES or paper-based systems - data cleansing, transformation, validation, cutover.

- Participate in ShopVue Cloud migration projects as that program ramps through 2026 and 2027.

- Write test scenarios, execute testing, and support customer UAT.

- Document configuration decisions, customer-specific extensions, and implementation runbooks.

What We're Looking For :

- 4-7 years of MES, shop-floor execution, or manufacturing software implementation experience (at least one full MES /other implementation cycle : requirements - configuration - testing - UAT - cutover), written test scenarios and executed integration testing against an ERP

- Named MES platform experience : ShopVue, Apriso/Dassault, Opcenter, Plex, Epicor MES, Infor SyteLine, Prodsmart, Critical Manufacturing, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or equivalent is preferred.

- Understanding of C#/ Java, JavaScript, or similar for customization and integration work. (understand code not developers), has written customization or integration code in an MES context.

- Understanding of SQL skills able to write queries for data investigation and issue diagnosis without assistance for migration, and reporting.

- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, message queues, and event-driven integration patterns.

- ERP integration experience like ERP : SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Infor, Acumatica, NetSuite etc

- Working understanding of manufacturing fundamentals - work orders, routings, operations, BOMs, labor tracking, production reporting, OEE, and scheduling.

- Strong manufacturing domain knowledge - discrete manufacturing preferred; Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, or Industrial Materials industry experience is a significant plus.

- Experience with shop-floor data collection (barcode, RFID, SCADA, OPC UA) is a plus.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern CI/CD practices is a plus as ShopVue Cloud ramps.

- Excellent written English for technical documentation and customer-facing communications.

Role Parameters :

Location : Bangalore, India (Center of Excellence)

Reports To : Director of Customer Experience, Bangalore

Level : Mid-level Consultant

Working Hours : Primarily U.S.-aligned working hours with flexibility (subject to manager and project requirements)

Office Attendance : Minimum 2 days per week in-office

Travel : Minimal to none

Role Type : Full-time, PS Consultant

Compensation & Benefits :

Competitive compensation aligned with Bangalore market rates for experienced consultants. Performance-based environment that rewards contribution, ownership, and growth. Benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, continuing education support, and certification reimbursement for relevant technology certifications (MS Business Central, etc.).

Why This Role Matters :

This is not a back-office support role. The Bangalore COE is a strategic pillar of how CAI scales its Discrete Manufacturing business over the next three years. You will work directly alongside senior U.S.-based consultants, learn the depth of CAI's domain IP, and build expertise that compounds as the platform grows.
