Job Title : Product Owner

Job Purpose :

The Product Owner will lead the development and delivery of data science and analytics products, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing projects, and providing actionable insights through interactive dashboards.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :

Product Vision and Strategy :

- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for data science and analytics solutions.

- Continuously improve products to meet evolving business needs and market trends.

Product Delivery :

- Lead the development and delivery of innovative data science and analytics products.

- Ensure products meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance.

Stakeholder Liaison :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.

- Provide comprehensive training and support to stakeholders on using analytics tools and dashboards.

End-to-End Project Management :

- Plan, organize, and manage projects from initiation to closure.

- Conduct feasibility studies, develop business cases, and manage project documentation.

- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.

- Conduct thorough quality assurance to maintain high standards.

- Prepare required documentation, like solution design documents, to comply with ADNOCs change management process.

Data Science and analytics :

- Analyze and enrich structured and unstructured data.

- Develop scalable data pipelines to handle large volumes of data.

- Apply statistical analysis and visualization techniques to create data stories.

- Collaborate with Data Governance teams to define, optimize and monitor data quality and integrity rules.

Standards and Framework :

- Research and consolidate industry best practices in digital business solutions.

- Collaborate with Digital Cyber Security teams to develop guidelines and policies.

ADNOC Classification : Internal

Collaborate with Digital Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure compliance with architectural standards and principles.

Skills and Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Information Management, or Statistics. A Masters degree is preferred.

- Experience : Minimum of 8 years in data analytics or related areas, with proven leadership and project management experience.

- Proven Product deliveries and operationalization at scale in large organizations

Technical Skills :

- Strong data modeling skills; experience in datawarehousing theory (star schemas, dimensional modelling).

- Experience on Extract-Transform-Load patterns. Informatica Power center expertise is a plus.

- Expert proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience in other development frameworks is a plus.

- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience with Power BI, including DAX and power query modelling capabilities.

- Experience with Dataiku Data Science platform.

- Experience with Microsoft Azure services and tools, particularly Azure ML / Azure Databricks.

- Familiarity with additional data visualization and analytics tools is a plus.

Certifications :

- Data Science Certification from Microsoft and Dataiku (preferred). Additional certifications in project management or data analytics are a plus.
