About the Role :

We are looking for a Product Manager - Payments to build, scale, and optimize UPI-led digital payment products. This role is ideal for someone who understands the Indian fintech ecosystem deeply, has hands-on experience with UPI flows, and can work closely with technology, compliance, and external partners to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable payment solutions.

You will own end-to-end product execution across UPI and related banking/payment systems, ensuring seamless customer experience while meeting NPCI and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the product roadmap for UPI and digital payment features

- Define and manage end-to-end UPI user journeys (collect, pay, mandate, refunds, disputes, autopay, etc.)

- Work closely with engineering, design, QA, compliance, and operations teams to deliver high-quality payment products

- Coordinate with payment aggregators, PSPs, and banking partners for integrations and ongoing optimizations

- Ensure strict adherence to NPCI guidelines, RBI regulations, and compliance requirements

- Translate business requirements into clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria

- Track and improve payment success rates, latency, failure handling, and reconciliation

- Use data and customer insights to drive conversion, retention, and transaction growth

Required Qualifications :

- 3+ years of product management experience in payments or fintech

- Strong hands-on experience with UPI-based products (mandatory)

- Proven track record of working with payment aggregators or PSPs

- Deep understanding of the UPI ecosystem, NPCI rules, and payment flows

- Experience working with banking systems, APIs, and transaction processing

- Ability to balance regulatory compliance with product innovation

- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with metrics and dashboards

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
