Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Product Manager specializing in the US Mortgage domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the development and optimization of mortgage-related products, aligning business objectives with innovative solutions to enhance customer experience and drive growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the mortgage lifecycle, regulatory compliance, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery and market relevance


Key Responsibilities :


- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, business outcomes, and strategic goals within the US Mortgage domain.


- Conduct market research to stay updated on emerging trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes.


- Develop and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.


Requirement Gathering & Analysis :


- Lead structured requirement elicitation sessions, including pre-workshop research, detailed analysis, and organized Q&A planning.


- Engage with end users and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand needs and translate them into product requirements related to loan origination, payments, settlements, and reconciliation.


- Conduct deep-dive analyses to extract functional details and identify opportunities for process improvement.


Documentation & Visualization :


- Translate the product roadmap into clear, well-structured requirements, documenting epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.


- Create business process flowcharts using tools like MIRO, draw.io, or Visio and design wireframes with prototyping tools to visualize the user interface and user experience (UI/UX).


- Develop business flow diagrams, mind maps, and user stories to effectively articulate product requirements.


Collaboration & Communication :


- Act as the main point of contact between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment on product goals and initiatives.


- Work closely with technology teams to design, test, and implement mortgage payment solutions, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.


- Provide insights and recommendations to the UI/UX team for enhanced usability and customer experience.


Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management :


- Ensure that all payment processing and mortgage-related activities comply with financial regulations suc h as PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML, and KYC guidelines.


- Monitor transaction performance, identify fraud risks, and ensure robust security measures are in place.


Performance Tracking & Reporting :


- Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.


- Analyze payment workflows to identify areas for improvement, cost efficiency, and optimization.


Job Specification / Skills and Competencies :


Education :


- Bachelors degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.


Product Management Expertise :


- Proven experience as a Product Manager with the ability to plan and facilitate effective requirement workshops with client SMEs and stakeholders.


- Strong capability to articulate product vision and business requirements both written and verbal with a high degree of clarity and attention to detail.


- Expertise in producing hands-on deliverables, including business process flows, requirement specifications, user stories, and managing product backlogs.


- Experience collaborating with UI/UX and Visual Design teams to guide user interface development, ensuring alignment with business goals and user-centric design principles.


- Skilled in working with Proxy Product Owners from offshore teams, actively participating in requirement grooming, sprint planning, and supporting product engineering teams for successful delivery.


- Adequate technical exposure to understand modern web and mobile application development, along with the ability to visualize and interpret data structures effectively.


- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience in an Agile-driven product development environment.


Mortgage Domain Expertise :


- Deep understanding of the US Mortgage lifecycle, including loan origination, underwriting, closing, servicing, and secondary markets.


- Familiarity with mortgage products such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.


- Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., CFPB, RESPA, TRID, HMDA) and the ability to navigate the complexities of federal and state guidelines.


- Hands-on experience with mortgage servicing platforms, loan origination systems (LOS), and mortgage-related data analytics.


- Experience with API-based integrations for mortgage underwriting, payment processing, and document verification.


- Exposure to AI-driven risk analysis, credit scoring models, and fraud detection within the mortgage space.


Analytical & Communication Skills :


- Strong analytical mindset with a natural inclination for problem-solving and strategic thinking.


- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of negotiating and finalizing product requirements through effective dialogue and visual diagramming.


- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools to generate insights and drive data-backed decision-making.


- Ability to create and present business process flowcharts, wireframes, and mind maps using tools like MIRO, draw.io, Visio, and wireframing/prototyping platforms.




Certifications (Preferred) :


- Certifications in Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Institute).


- Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or financial compliance (e.g., NACHA, SWIFT).
