Key Responsibilities :
- Own and define the product roadmap for healthcare data ingestion, integration, and normalization.
- Drive the vision for the Data Gateway and integration-side Data Fabric.
- Define integration strategy for onboarding new data sources, partners, and vendors.
- Prioritize features based on customer needs, regulatory requirements, and platform scalability.
Define and manage data flows from :
- EHRs (Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, Cerner, etc.)
- Payers and claims feeds
- HIEs and external health information exchanges
- Partner with engineering teams on pipelines using:
- FHIR / FHIR++
- HL7 v2
- X12 (claims, eligibility, remittance)
- API-based integrations
Guide strategies for :
- Data ingestion, mapping, and normalization
- Medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED)
- Identity resolution and patient matching
- Data quality, validation, and lineage tracking
- Act as the technical product owner for the integrations team.
- Translate complex healthcare workflows into clear product requirements and technical designs.
- Review architectural designs and ensure alignment with scalability, performance, and compliance needs.
- Align engineering execution with customer and business priorities.
- Work directly with customers, EHR vendors, payers, and integration partners during onboarding and go-live.
- Support implementation planning, integration validation, and issue resolution.
- Gather feedback from customers and partners to continuously improve ingestion and integration capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging healthcare data standards, vendors, and integration technologies.
- Stay current on interoperability regulations (e.g., USCDI, TEFCA, CMS mandates).
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, data completeness, and analytics readiness.
Required Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with significant exposure to healthcare data integrations.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards:
- FHIR / HL7 / X12
- EHR, payer, and HIE ecosystems
- Experience working with data ingestion, normalization, and analytics pipelines.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams on complex, data-intensive systems.
- Strong customer-facing experience in technical or integration-heavy products.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Hands-on experience with healthcare interoperability platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Experience building or managing Data Platforms, Data Gateways, or Data Fabrics.
- Technical background (engineering, data, or systems integration).
