Role : QA Support Engineer

Role Overview :
We are looking for a QA Support Engineer with strong fundamentals in software testing and excellent communication skills.
This role sits at the intersection of Quality Assurance, Customer Support, and Product Engineering, requiring close collaboration with internal teams as well as interaction with clients or the Customer Success team.
The ideal candidate is technically sound, quick to learn, and confident in communication, with a mindset focused on problem-solving and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform functional testing of web and/or API-based applications.
- Validate reported customer issues by reproducing them in test and staging environments.
- Monitoring and managing cloud deployments of customers
- Troubleshooting customer issues, triaging and collaborating with customers
- Owning customer issues to closure and responsibility for customer satisfaction
- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring clear reproduction steps and documentation.
- Use Postman to test APIs, validate responses, and assist in troubleshooting backend issues.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and customer success teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Support release validation activities and basic regression testing.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain test documentation, test cases, and basic test reports.
Mandatory (Non-Negotiable) Requirements :
- Technically sound with a solid understanding of :
- Software testing fundamentals
- SDLC and defect life cycle
- Basic web application concepts (HTTP, APIs, request/response)
- Very good communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to explain issues clearly and confidently.
- High confidence level, as the role may involve :
- Client interactions
- Working with Customer Success or Support teams
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, domains, and workflows.
Required Skills & Tools :
- JIRA defect tracking and task management
- Postman basic API testing and validation
- Functional Testing understanding of test case design, execution, and reporting
- Basic understanding of :
1. Test scenarios
2. Regression testing
3. Smoke and sanity testing
Good to Have :
- Exposure to test automation (any tool or language)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Java / JavaScript / Python)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
