About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Internationalisation & Compliance Architect to define and govern the enterprise architecture strategy for globalization, internationalization, localization, and regulatory compliance.

The organization is transforming its Digital Platform into a globally scalable enterprise platform capable of supporting multiple countries, regions, languages, currencies, legal entities, tax structures, business processes, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will establish the architectural foundation required to onboard new countries rapidly while minimizing country-specific customization, regulatory risk, operational complexity, and technical debt.

This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Legal, Finance, Tax, Trade Compliance, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Global Platform Architecture :

- Define and own the enterprise Internationalisation (I18N), Localization (L10N), and Globalization Architecture strategy.

- Establish architecture standards for global scalability and regional adaptability.

- Design platform capabilities supporting multi-language experiences, multi-currency operations, regional business processes, country-specific compliance requirements, global legal entity structures, and regional address and identity standards.

- Ensure solutions are configuration-driven and country-agnostic wherever possible.

- Define reusable architecture patterns that enable rapid country expansion.

2. Country-Specific Legal, Tax & Compliance :

- Define enterprise architecture patterns for country-specific legal, tax, financial, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

- Partner with Legal, Finance, Tax, Trade Compliance, and Product teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Establish architecture standards supporting VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, E-Invoicing, regional invoicing, financial reporting, country-specific document retention, data privacy, data residency, trade and customs compliance, multi-currency financial processing, and regional address, identity, and business standards.

- Define a reusable country onboarding framework to accelerate entry into new markets.

- Ensure compliance capabilities are designed as reusable platform services rather than country-specific customizations wherever feasible.

3. Enterprise Application Integration :

- Ensure globalization and compliance standards are consistently implemented across enterprise applications, including Digital Commerce Platforms, CRM Platforms, CPQ Solutions, Order Management Systems (OMS), Oracle ERP Ecosystem, Oracle Financials, Oracle Supply Chain Management, and Supply Chain Applications.

- Drive architecture and integration patterns across front-office, mid-office, and back-office platforms.

4. Architecture Governance & Quality :

- Conduct architecture reviews and compliance-readiness assessments.

- Establish globalization and compliance checkpoints within SDLC and release governance processes.

- Define architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and reusable design patterns.

- Identify and mitigate globalization, regulatory, and technical-debt risks.

- Ensure solutions meet enterprise scalability, security, reliability, and compliance standards.

- Define testing strategies covering Internationalisation, Localization, regulatory compliance, tax validation, financial localization, multi-currency scenarios, regional business processes, and regression automation.

- Mentor engineering and architecture teams and provide hands-on technical leadership.

Required Qualifications :

- 13+ years of overall software engineering experience.

- 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or equivalent senior architecture roles.

- Proven experience designing and delivering global enterprise platforms supporting multiple countries and regions.

- Demonstrated experience implementing country-specific legal, tax, financial, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Compliance.

Internationalisation & Localization :

Strong expertise in I18N / L10N Architecture, Globalization Architecture, Unicode / UTF-8, CLDR, Locale-aware formatting, Date, time, number, and currency localization, Translation frameworks, Multi-language application architecture, Multi-currency architecture, and Regionalization and country-specific configuration.

Enterprise Architecture :

Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, API-First Design, Event-Driven Architecture, Cloud-Native Platforms, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Domain-Driven Design, Configuration-driven architecture, and Scalable and reusable platform architecture.

Oracle Ecosystem :

Hands-on or strong architectural experience with one or more of the following : Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Financials, Oracle Tax Configuration, Oracle Order Management, Oracle Supply Chain Management, and Oracle Integration Frameworks.

Preferred Domain Experience :

Experience in one or more of the following domains is highly desirable : Distribution Industry, Global Commerce Platforms, Supply Chain Management, Order Management Systems, ERP Platforms, Global Financial Systems, and Enterprise Digital Platforms.
