About the Role :

We are looking for a senior Tier-3 BMC Helix Engineer to take complete ownership of advanced platform engineering, complex workflows, and enterprise integrations. In this role, you will lead platform upgrades, design complex configurations, and orchestrate deep CMDB data pipelines while acting as the ultimate escalation point for root-cause elimination.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Core Systems : BMC Helix ITSM, BMC Helix CMDB, and Smart IT PWA.

- Smart IT Framework : Hands-on experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) to deliver responsive, streamlined service management workflows.

- CMDB Architecture : Expert knowledge of CMDB Architecture, Governance, Reconciliation, and Normalization rules.

- Service Catalogue : Deep expertise in the Digital Workplace Service Catalogue, workflow engineering, and automated approval logic.

- Integrations : Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, identity management (SSO), and ITOM/monitoring hooks.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Tier-3 Advanced Engineering & Troubleshooting :

- L3 Incident & Problem Management : Debug business-critical performance issues, data corruption, failed reconciliation jobs, and deliver permanent root cause analyses (RCA).

- Platform Upgrades : Plan, coordinate, and execute critical BMC Helix platform upgrades and patches, including robust regression strategies and rollback planning.

2. CMDB Architecture & Data Governance :

- Define and enforce CMDB governance standards, data model customization approaches, and dataset strategies.

- Maintain Configuration Item (CI) data integrity by optimizing reconciliation workflows and automated normalization routines.

3. Workflow Automation & Integration Engineering :

- Build and scale automated workflows within the Digital Workplace Service Catalogue to improve system reliability.

- Design and support secure integration feeds across identity/SSO portals, CMDB data lakes, and cross-team monitoring infrastructures.

4. Mentoring & Operational Standards :

- Coach L1/L2 operations cohorts, establish standard operating runbooks, and drive continuous service improvements.

- Candidates should ideally be based in or willing to commute to our primary engineering facilities located in Chennai or Bengaluru.
