Description :

This is a high-impact, senior technical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end architecture, development, and governance of a multi-agent Agentic AI platform. The Principal Engineer will be the technical visionary, tasked with driving multiple parallel integrations with diverse enterprise systems under an aggressive launch roadmap, while establishing security and compliance standards to meet SOC 2 Type II requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

The role's responsibilities span Architecture, Technical Governance, and Execution :

1. Agentic AI Architecture & Core Engine :

- Common Framework Definition : Design, select, and lead the implementation of the core multi-agent orchestration framework (e.g., LangGraph) for use across all product integrations.

- System Design : Architect the centralized Vector Database and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines to ensure agents have unified, factually grounded, and consistent memory.

- Integration Standardization : Define a robust API interface and "Connector Standard" to ensure seamless and reliable communication between the central AI engine and diverse external enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, Sales, Marketing platforms).

- Performance : Establish and enforce technical standards for low-latency inference, tool-calling protocols, and efficient token cost management.

2. Technical Governance & MLOps :

- Compliance : Design and implement security guardrails to prevent prompt injection, manage data encryption, and enforce PII/PCI masking during cross-platform data flows, critical for compliance audits.

- MLOps Oversight : Oversee the development and deployment of robust CI/CD pipelines, integrating continuous drift monitoring (semantic, prompt, and tool-calling drift) to ensure long-term model reliability in production.

- Documentation : Lead the technical authorship of the System Design Document (SDD) and compliance protocols required for external security audits.

- Code Review : Act as the final technical authority, leading the review of platform-specific code and enforcing architectural standards across all development teams/pods.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution :

- Strategic SME : Serve as the primary Technical Subject Matter Expert, translating complex business requirements from Product and Operations teams into detailed, actionable JIRA epics and agentic behaviors.

- Team Mentorship : Provide direct technical guidance to Senior AI and Data Engineers on best practices for building autonomous systems at scale.

- Agile Management : Ensure that every development task adheres to the defined "Definition of Done" (DoD), which includes required security and documentation artifacts.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Experience : 9+ years of professional experience in senior technical roles, with a strong background in Data Science, Data Engineering, and Agentic AI/MLOps.

- Technical Stack : Expert proficiency in RAG architecture, Vector Databases (Pinecone/Chroma), and multi-agent frameworks (LangGraph/CrewAI/AutoGen).

- Data Architecture : Proven track record in complex ETL/ELT pipeline design, Medallion Architectures, and data governance.

- DevOps : Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud scaling (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, and production model monitoring.

- Soft Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, define and enforce architectural standards, and manage complex projects to strict, non-negotiable deadlines.

- Location Context : Experience or understanding of the technical talent and salary landscape in the Pune/Ahmedabad region is highly desirable.
