Role Summary :
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Analyst (Business & Data Analytics) to join our shipping analytics division. In this role, you will act as a "Strategic Intelligence Partner," responsible for deconstructing complex logistics challenges and providing data-supported solutions to optimize shipping operations. You will leverage mastery-level SQL and sophisticated Tableau development to build self-service tools that drive measurable business impact. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who excels at interpreting high-dimensional datasets, performing root-cause analysis, and translating technical findings into actionable insights for business leadership.
Responsibilities :
- Advanced Shipping Optimization : Apply strong analytical and statistical skills to solve complex shipping problems, utilizing wide-ranging quantitative data to optimize delivery routes, costs, and timelines.
- End-to-End Data Synthesis : Masterfully utilize SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets, building robust data pipelines that feed into mission-critical business reports.
- Self-Service Analytics Architecture : Design and maintain complex, automated Tableau dashboards that allow business units to monitor program success and operational health independently.
- Strategic Business Partnership : Serve as a trusted advisor to various business units, translating high-dimensional analytical results into clear, practical business insights.
- Root-Cause Analysis & Deep-Dives : Structure and simplify ambiguous business questions, performing deep-dive analyses to identify the drivers behind shipping inefficiencies or performance fluctuations.
- Innovation & Process Improvement : Drive continuous improvement within the analytics team by evaluating new industry trends and adopting advanced analytical methodologies.
- Operational Monitoring Tools : Create and oversee the necessary reporting tools to track the success of shipping programs and ensure alignment with organizational KPIs.
- Communication & Presentation : Present complex work efficiently to senior stakeholders, tailoring technical insights to a business-focused audience in fluent English.
- Quality & Accuracy Governance : Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the absolute accuracy of data analysis, documentation, and final reporting.
Technical Requirements :
- SQL Mastery : Advanced proficiency in writing production-quality SQL, including window functions, complex joins, and CTEs.
- Visualization Expertise : Proven track record of building complex, self-service dashboards and automated data pipelines in Tableau.
- Analytical Depth : Strong experience in statistical analysis and interpreting complex, high-volume datasets.
- Problem-Solving Rigor : Demonstrated ability to structure and simplify complex business problems using data-driven frameworks.
Preferred Skills :
- Logistics Knowledge : Familiarity with shipping metrics, courier performance analysis, or last-mile delivery optimization.
- Python for Automation : Ability to use Python for data processing and automating repetitive analytical workflows.
- Predictive Modeling : Exposure to basic predictive analytics to forecast shipping demand or potential delays.
- Advanced ETL : Experience with tools like dbt or Alteryx for sophisticated data preparation.
