Power BI Developer - Data Visualization

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Developer with at least 3 years of experience in business intelligence development and strong expertise in dimensional data modeling.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain star schemas, snowflake schemas, and fact/dimension tables using dimensional modeling techniques.

- Create robust data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query (M).

- Integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.

- Optimize performance through proper data model design, indexing, and aggregation

techniques.

- Work closely with business users to gather requirements and transform them into BI

solutions.

- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards.

- Publish and manage content on Power BI Service, including workspaces, datasets, and

gateways.

- Implement and manage row-level security (RLS) and data access controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI report development and data modeling.

- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, including star and snowflake schemas.

- Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M).

- Experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

- Familiarity with Power BI Service, workspaces, and report sharing.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical

stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) or other cloud-based

BI platforms.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
