Job Title : Member of Technical Staff II (Payment Gateway)

The responsibilities we entrust with you :
- Architectural Design : Lead the design and architecture of our payment platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Payment Gateway Integration : Design and implement integrations with various payment gateways, supporting card payments, UPI, net banking, and other payment methods
- Technology Selection : Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for building and maintaining the payment platform.
- Domain Expertise : Leverage deep domain knowledge of card payments, UPI, net banking, and checkout processes to design effective solutions.
- Microservices Architecture : Design and implement a microservices-based architecture for the payment platform, ensuring loose coupling, high availability, and independent deployability.
- Mentorship : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team
- Event-Driven Architecture : Implement an event-driven architecture to enable real-time processing, asynchronous communication, and improved system responsiveness.
- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the payment platform.
- Scalability and Performance : Design the system to handle high transaction volumes and ensure optimal performance under peak loads.
- Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Security : Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data and comply with industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS).
- Checkout Experience : Optimize the checkout flow to provide a seamless and user-friendly experience for customers.
What matters in this role :
Experience & Portfolio :
Extensive experience (e.g., 12-15 years) in software development, with a significant focus on payment systems.
Technical Skills & Efficiency :
- Deep understanding of payment gateways, card payments (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Amex), UPI, net banking, and checkout processes.
- Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001)
Communication & Ownership :
- Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and high availability
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment
Preferred Skills ( Good to have ) :
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with specific payment gateways or processors.
- Contributions to open-source projects related to payments or distributed systems.
- Good knowledge on AI based solutioning

Working from office : As of now, we work out of our offices, 5 days a week.
