Job Description

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Pega applications using PRPC v8.x and the latest Pega Platform features (Infinity/V'23+).

Develop reusable components by leveraging Pega's rule-driven architecture and best practices.

Configure and manage background processing components including Queue Processors, Job Schedulers, Agents, File Listeners, Email Listeners, and Queue Management.

Design and implement Case Types, Data Pages, Decision Tables, Decision Trees, Data Transforms, Activities, Flows, Flow Actions, Correspondence, and Business Rules.

Develop responsive UI using Sections, Harnesses, Dynamic Layouts, Skin Rules, Themes Cosmos/Constellation (where applicable), and optimize user experience.

Create reports, dashboards, and custom reporting solutions using Report Definitions and database optimization techniques.

Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JSON/XML, Connect/Service rules, and authentication mechanisms.

Configure security including Access Groups, Roles, Privileges, Authentication Services, Authorization, and application security best practices.

Participate in application debugging, performance tuning, and guardrail compliance improvements.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Architects, and Product Owners during requirement analysis and solution implementation.

Support SIT, UAT, performance testing, deployment activities, and post-production support.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge transfer documents.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Pega PRPC architecture and application development.

Experience with Activities, Data Transforms, Decision Rules, Functions, Declare Expressions, Report Definitions, and Authentication Services.

Good understanding of Case Management, Data Pages, Clipboard, Rule Resolution, and Class Structure.

Experience with Queue Processors, Job Schedulers, Agents, File Listeners, and background processing.

Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP integrations and OAuth authentication.

Understanding of database concepts, SQL, and Pega performance optimization.

Experience in debugging using Tracer, Clipboard, Live UI, PAL, and Performance Analyzer.

Familiarity with deployment using Product Rules and Branch Development.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Certifications

Pega CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect)

Preferred Skills

Exposure to Pega Constellation UI.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, or event-driven integrations.

Define application architecture aligned with Pega guardrails, enterprise standards, and best practices.

Design reusable frameworks, enterprise components, and common services to improve maintainability.

Lead end-to-end implementation of Case Management, Data Modeling, Decisioning, and Business Process Automation solutions.

Design and optimize Queue Processors, Job Schedulers, File Listeners, Email Listeners, and asynchronous processing frameworks.

Build highly scalable integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth, JMS, Kafka, and modern API integration patterns.

Design Headless Pega architectures and API-first solutions for digital channels.

Optimize application performance through PAL analysis, database tuning, declarative processing optimization, and guardrail compliance.

Design reusable UI components using Cosmos/Constellation architecture and modern UX practices.

Lead deployment planning, release management, production support, and environment management.

Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor development teams.

Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

Provide technical leadership during estimation, solution design, and sprint execution.

Participate in architecture reviews, proof of concepts, and technical feasibility studies.

Drive CI/CD adoption, DevOps automation, and cloud-native deployment strategies.

Troubleshoot critical production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.

Support governance activities including guardrail reviews, security reviews, and performance assessments.

Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and enterprise architecture.

Experience designing highly available, scalable, and high-performance Pega applications.

Strong knowledge of SQL, database optimization, indexing, and query tuning.

Experience with debugging tools including PAL, DB Trace, AES/PDC, Tracer, Clipboard, and Live UI.

Experience working with Git, Jenkins, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD.

Proven experience leading Scrum teams and mentoring developers.
