Position Summary:

Orbia is seeking an experienced MDG DevOps Senior Technical Specialist to join its Global IT Master Data Management (MDM) team. This role will be a key contributor within the Data & Analytics organization, helping the business maximize the value of its data through effective Master Data Governance (MDG) practices.

The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (SAP MDG), ABAP development, and DevOps methodologies to support the development, enhancement, and operational management of MDG solutions.

The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of Orbia's global MDM landscape while supporting business initiatives and accelerating delivery in a data-driven environment.

Working closely with global and regional stakeholders, the MDG DevOps Senior Technical Specialist will collaborate across functional and technical teams to implement business requirements, resolve complex issues, and continuously improve MDM processes and platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Operational Support & Incident Management :

- Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day SAP MDG incidents in collaboration with MDM team members.

- Perform root cause analysis for complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions that improve system stability, performance, and reliability.

- Ensure timely resolution of production issues while maintaining high service quality standards.

2. MDG Development & Enhancement :

- Design, develop, and implement SAP MDG enhancements and solutions to support business requirements.

- Configure and enhance MDG workflows, data models, validation and derivation rules using BRF+, BAdIs, and ABAP development.

- Develop and maintain MDG user interface enhancements, test automation solutions, and integration frameworks including ALE/IDoc and SOA services.

3. DevOps & Continuous Improvement :

- Participate actively in MDM DevOps ceremonies, providing status updates, technical guidance, and prioritization support.

- Drive continuous improvement of MDM DevOps processes through best practices, code reviews, automation, and technical documentation.

- Support CI/CD and release management activities to improve delivery efficiency and system reliability.

4. Project Delivery & Business Partnership :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver MDG-related projects and enhancements aligned with organizational objectives.

- Provide technical expertise and solution recommendations during project planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.

- Support the implementation of Global MDM Strategy and Roadmap initiatives across Product, Customer, Supplier, and Financial Master Data domains.

5. System Upgrades & Governance :

- Lead and support MDG system upgrades, patches, and releases by planning activities, coordinating testing, monitoring execution, and resolving technical issues.

- Ensure system changes comply with established architecture, development standards, and governance processes.

6. Team Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Serve as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for SAP MDG and DevOps practices.

- Guide and support junior team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.

- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and offshore cross-functional IT delivery teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout issue resolution and project execution.

Qualifications & Experience :

1. Required Experience :

- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) implementation, development, and support.

- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP development within MDG environments.

- Experience with SAP workflow configuration, BRF+, BAdIs, data modeling, and MDG custom development.

- Proven experience integrating SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems using ALE/IDoc, SOA services, and related technologies.

- Experience working within DevOps and Agile delivery environments.

- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization capabilities.
