Role : Oracle Utilities WAM Manager / Custom Software Engineer

Location : Hyderabad

Experience : 12+ Years (Minimum 5+ Years in Oracle Utilities WAM)

Education : 15 Years Full-Time Education

Must-Have Skills :

- Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM)

- Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)

- End-to-end Oracle Utilities WAM implementation experience (23 projects)

- WAM modules: Asset Management, Work Management, Inventory, Preventive Maintenance, Inspections, Mobile WAM

- Integration experience with CC&B, MWM, GIS, SCADA, ERP/EBS

- Utility domain experience (Electricity, Gas, Water, or Wastewater)

- Team leadership and stakeholder management

Good to Have :

- SQL, SOA/Web Services, Data Migration

- Cloud/On-Prem architecture exposure

- Oracle Utilities / PMP / ITIL certifications

Responsibilities :

- Lead Oracle Utilities WAM implementation and support projects.

- Design, configure, and optimize Oracle Utilities WAM solutions.

- Manage integrations, data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and go-live support.

- Lead client interactions, project delivery, and cross-functional teams.

- Drive asset lifecycle management, preventive maintenance, and process improvements.

Challenges in Hiring :

- Extremely niche Oracle Utilities WAM skillset with a very limited talent pool.

- Requirement for 12+ years of experience and 5+ years in Oracle Utilities WAM significantly narrows the search.

- Finding candidates with 23 end-to-end WAM implementation projects is difficult.

- OUAF experience is uncommon and mostly available with Oracle Utilities specialists.

- Requires a combination of functional, technical, and managerial expertise.

- Utility domain experience (Electricity/Gas/Water) is mandatory, limiting cross-domain candidates.
