Oracle Retail Planning Techno-Functional Consultant

We are looking for a seasoned Oracle Retail Planning Techno-Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Oracle Retail Planning applications, including Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server and the modern Oracle Retail Analytics and Planning platform.

This role is ideal for professionals who can bridge business and technology, translating retail planning requirements into scalable system solutions while working closely with business stakeholders and development teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Retail Planning Functional Expertise :

- Provide strong functional expertise across Oracle Retail Planning modules :

1. Assortment Planning (AP)

2. Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP)

3. Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF)

4. Inventory Planning Optimization (IPO)

5. Lifecycle Pricing Optimization (LPO)

- Understand and model key retail processes :

1. Assortment strategy & planning

2. Demand forecasting & replenishment

3. Financial planning & budgeting

4. Pricing, promotions, and markdown optimization

- Work closely with business users to define planning cycles, KPIs, and workflows

Techno-Functional Solution Design :

- Translate business/functional requirements into technical specifications

- Define system configurations, hierarchies, measures, and planning workflows in RPAS/RAP

- Collaborate with development teams on :

1. Data models

2. Batch processes

3. Calculation logic

- Ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities

Integration & Data Management :

- Design and support integration between Oracle Retail Planning systems and upstream/downstream systems

- Handle :

1. Data ingestion and transformation

2. API request/response specifications

3. Front-end and back-end integration

- Work on data sources such as POS, inventory, sales, and financial data

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance

Implementation & Delivery :

- Lead or support end-to-end implementation projects (10+ years experience expected)

- Participate in :

1. Requirement gathering workshops

2. Fit-gap analysis

3. Solution design and configuration

- Support testing phases :

1. Unit Testing

2. System Integration Testing (SIT)

3. User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Documentation & Agile Delivery :

- Document functional and technical requirements using tools like JIRA

- Create :

1. Functional Design Documents (FDDs)

2. Technical specifications

3. User stories and acceptance criteria

- Work in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Stakeholder & Client Interaction :

- Work directly with business stakeholders and clients to :

1. Understand requirements

2. Provide solution recommendations

3. Demonstrate system capabilities

- Act as a bridge between :

1. Business teams

2. Technical/development teams

- Provide ongoing support and enhancements post-implementation

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have Skills :

- 10+ years of experience in Oracle Retail Planning implementations

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Retail Cloud Planning (RAP) or RPAS

- Experience in at least 23 modules :

i. Assortment Planning (AP)

ii. Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP)

iii. Retail Demand Forecasting (RDF)

- Strong understanding of retail business processes

- Proven ability to work in a techno-functional role (not purely technical)

- Experience translating functional requirements into technical specifications

- Hands-on experience with data integration, APIs, and system interfaces

- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in :

1. Inventory Planning Optimization (IPO)

2. Lifecycle Pricing Optimization (LPO)

- Exposure to pricing & promotions use cases

- Experience working with global clients / client-facing roles

- Knowledge of retail data flows (POS, inventory, supply chain)
