Job Title : Oracle Financials Consultant Project Costing & Billing (7- 10 Years Experience)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financials professional specializing in Project Costing and Billing. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Oracle ERP (preferably Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Fusion), with hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting Project Financial Management modules.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and support implementation and enhancement of Oracle Project Costing and Billing modules

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to project accounting and billing processes

Configure and manage :

- Project Costing (cost collection, burdening, accounting)

- Project Billing (event-based and progress billing)

- Work closely with business stakeholders (Finance, Projects, Operations) to design solutions

- Manage project setup, expenditure types, cost rates, and billing extensions

Ensure integration with other modules :

- General Ledger (GL)

- Accounts Payable (AP)

- Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Perform system testing (SIT/UAT), troubleshooting, and issue resolution

- Support month-end and year-end financial processes

- Prepare functional design documents (FDD), configuration documents, and user manuals

- Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvements

- Collaborate with technical teams for customizations, reports, and interfaces

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7 to 10 years of experience in Oracle Financials

- Strong hands-on experience in :

1. Oracle Project Costing

2. Oracle Project Billing

- Experience in at least 12 full lifecycle implementations

- Knowledge of :

1. Revenue recognition

2. Cost allocation and burdening

3. Contract/project accounting

- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles

- Experience with integrations between Oracle modules

- Ability to write functional specifications for technical development

- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (preferred over EBS)

- Knowledge of Project Contracts module

- Exposure to BI reports / OTBI / Oracle reporting tools

- Basic understanding of SQL (for troubleshooting/reporting)

- Certification in Oracle Financials (nice to have)
