Oracle DBA Consultant | Remote (Preferred Bangalore)

We're looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator who enjoys solving complex database challenges and keeping business-critical systems running smoothly. You'll be working with enterprise clients across different industries, helping them manage, optimize, and modernize their Oracle database environments.

If you've worked with high-availability databases, performance tuning, migrations, and disaster recovery, this role will give you the opportunity to work on large-scale environments while collaborating with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams.

What you'll do :

- Manage Oracle database environments across production, test, and disaster recovery setups.

- Perform installations, upgrades, patching, backups, and database migrations.

- Monitor database health and proactively improve performance and availability.

- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize SQL performance.

- Configure and support Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.

- Strengthen database security, user access, auditing, and compliance.

- Automate routine DBA activities using Shell scripting and DevOps practices.

- Partner with application teams and client stakeholders to recommend improvements and modernization strategies.

What we're looking for :

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c/21c).

- Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.

- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

- Good understanding of AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL, and PL/SQL.

- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.

- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting production databases.

Nice to have :

- Oracle Exadata

- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

- Oracle GoldenGate

- Database migration and upgrade projects

- Performance engineering experience
