Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments. The role involves performance tuning, database administration, and ensuring high availability for mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and support Oracle database environments in production
- Perform performance tuning and optimization using tools such as AWR/ASH, SQL tracing, and execution plan analysis
- Administer and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN
- Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and reliability
- Handle database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Manage large-scale databases and high transaction (OLTP) systems
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
- Implement automation using scripting tools such as Shell, Python, or Ansible
- Monitor system performance including Linux and network diagnostics
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve issues
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration
Strong expertise in :
- Oracle RAC
- Data Guard / Active Data Guard
- RMAN
- AWR/ASH performance analysis
- Partitioning and compression techniques
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Experience working with large-scale OLTP systems
- Experience managing multi-terabyte databases
- Strong scripting and automation skills
Technical Skills :
- Knowledge of Oracle database versions (12c / 19c / 21c or later)
- Experience with ASM and storage management
- Familiarity with database replication tools (e.g., GoldenGate)
- Experience with database migration and upgrade strategies
- Understanding of SQL performance tuning and resource management
- Experience with Linux system monitoring tools (vmstat, iostat, top, sar)
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (OCI or similar platforms)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Oracle certifications such as OCP or OCM
- Experience with Exadata or engineered systems
- Exposure to cloud-based database environments
- Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments
