The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of Oracle technologies, including RMAN, RAC, Data Guard, performance tuning, and Unix/Linux environments.

This role is critical to ensuring our enterprise databases run efficiently, securely, and with high availability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, install, and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c)

- Perform regular database backups and recovery using RMAN

- Set up and maintain Oracle RAC and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery

- Conduct performance tuning and optimization using AWR, ASH, and SQL tuning

- Implement patches, upgrades, and manage database migrations

- Manage user roles, privileges, tablespaces, and storage structures

- Monitor databases via OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and resolve alerts

- Automate tasks using Shell scripting in Unix/Linux environments

- Ensure database security compliance and support internal/external audits

- Participate in on-call rotation and support 24/7 production environments

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle versions 11g/12c/19c

- Expertise in RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC

- Experience in AWR/ASH analysis, SQL query tuning

- Good knowledge of OEM for database monitoring

- Familiar with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting

- Solid understanding of backup & recovery concepts

- Experience with Patching and PSU/CPU updates

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS RDS, or Azure

- Exposure to GoldenGate or Streams for replication

- Familiarity with PL/SQL development

- Knowledge of TDE encryption, data masking, or redaction

- Awareness of audit compliance and regulatory controls

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is highly preferred
