Oracle Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities :

- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work with onshore and offshore teams

Skills Desired :

- Performance tuning/troubleshooting complex queries and server performance issues.

- Proactively monitor the database and implement solution to reduce the incidents/issues.

- Configure and maintain database servers and processes

- Monitor system's health and performance

- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security

- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time

- Perform production support administration tasks including proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, tracing, backup, recovery, and on-call support to ensure availability and performance requirements are achieved.

- Well versed with replication methodology, HA configuration, failover in Ms-sql Database DB Backup configuration, restore database as and when required.

- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

- Knowledge or Experience on Cloud technology like Azure is an added advantage

- Perform database installations, migrations, patches, and upgrades.

- Consult with application teams to provide capacity planning and database deployment recommendations.

Requirements :

- 10 + years of experience in Database administration of Multiple db's like Oracle, MS-sql, Aurora Oracle DB

- Sr Oracle DBA (Oracle, RAC, OKV, ZDLRA, MS-sql /Aurora/Mongo)

- 3+ years of experience of automation with atleast one of Shell/Bash, Python ideally in a iaC/GIT environment.

- Experience with RAC, installation, configuration, administration of ASM, cluster.

- Strong knowledge of RDBMS, oracle db architecture, memory structure.

- Strong experience, knowledge and troubleshooting skills in RAC is Must.

- Strong experience in OKV configuration, TDE concepts patching RDBMS in RAC environment

- Experience in OEM administration.

- Strong experience in RMAN Backup and restore, experience in ZDLRA

- Strong Data guard knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

- Supporting the day-to-day development activities by working with the application development team on database issues.

- Good communication skills, strong Teamwork and organization skills MS-SQL DB.
