We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OpenWrt Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing OpenWrt-based firmware for a variety of embedded devices. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure solutions. Your work will directly impact the performance and functionality of our products, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement custom OpenWrt-based firmware solutions for embedded devices, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

- Develop and integrate new features and functionalities into OpenWrt, enhancing the capabilities of our products.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and hardware issues related to OpenWrt, minimizing downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Optimize OpenWrt configurations for specific hardware platforms, maximizing resource utilization and improving overall system efficiency.

- Contribute to the development of comprehensive documentation for OpenWrt-based solutions, enabling efficient knowledge transfer and support.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Conduct thorough testing and validation of OpenWrt firmware, guaranteeing quality and reliability.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest OpenWrt developments and technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to our solutions.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to develop and customize OpenWrt firmware for embedded systems.

- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and scripting languages such as Lua or Python.

- Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.).

- Experience with embedded system development tools and debugging techniques.

- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems independently and collaboratively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
