Position Overview :
The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with key OpenStack services, Linux system administration, virtualization, and automation.
Your responsibilities will include the deployment, scaling, optimization, and troubleshooting of OpenStack environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about open-source technologies and looking to work in a fast-paced, enterprise-grade cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure the performance, security, and availability of OpenStack clusters.
- Monitor system logs and performance metrics; diagnose and resolve issues proactively.
- Perform advanced Linux server administration, tuning, and shell scripting.
- Ensure smooth integration of Linux systems with OpenStack services.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and configuration updates to servers in a controlled manner.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate recurring tasks, such as provisioning, monitoring, and configuration.
- Work with tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Heat for configuration management and orchestration.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.
- Manage virtualization environments, especially KVM, and understand integration with OpenStack.
- Support containerized workloads and orchestration using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Implement OpenStack security best practices, including user roles, access policies, and encryption.
- Assist in compliance audits, backup/restore operations, and DR planning.
- Work closely with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams to support cloud-native and legacy workloads.
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, procedures, and configurations.
- Provide support to end-users and internal teams, assisting with cloud usage and issue resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong hands-on knowledge of OpenStack services: Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder.
- Advanced skills in Linux administration (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Proficient in Python scripting and automation tools (Ansible, Bash, Terraform).
- Experience with virtualization technologies, especially KVM/QEMU.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
- Good understanding of networking protocols (VLAN, VXLAN, SDN) and storage systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
