The Challenge :

Were hiring an Engineering Team Lead (Backend) to guide a team building high-performance, scalable backend services that power OneTrusts global trust platform. Youll mix leadership with hands-on backend engineering shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver robust, secure microservices at scale.

Your Mission :

- Lead and mentor a backend engineering team.

- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and high-quality delivery.

- Design and implement backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and modern microservice patterns.

- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.

- Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and observability best practices.

- Collaborate with Product, Architects, and UX to deliver impactful solutions.

- Champion continuous learning and engineering excellence.

You Are :

A strong backend engineer and people leader who enjoys designing systems as much as coaching teams. You make smart technical decisions, communicate clearly, and create an environment where engineers can grow and thrive.

Your Experience Includes :

- 5+ years in backend engineering (Java + Spring ecosystem required).

- Experience leading teams or driving end-to-end backend projects.

- Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and system design.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.

- Database experience: SQL + NoSQL.

- Strong problem-solving skills and stakeholder communication.

Extra Awesome :

- Cloud-native experience (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Familiarity with Kafka or event-driven architectures.

- Experience in improving engineering processes or onboarding.

- Background in performance optimization or observability tools.
