Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled OMS Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade Order Management System (OMS) solutions for a fast-paced product and technology environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in OMS platforms, order lifecycle management, system integrations, APIs, and distributed systems.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and business teams to build scalable and highly available order management solutions that ensure seamless order processing and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and enhance Order Management System (OMS) applications and services.

- Implement and customize order lifecycle workflows, including order capture, validation, fulfillment, shipment, returns, and cancellations.

- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices for seamless integration with e-commerce platforms, ERP, CRM, WMS, payment gateways, and third-party systems.

- Build scalable backend services to support high-volume order processing with minimal latency.

- Optimize OMS performance, reliability, and availability through proactive monitoring and tuning.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis for critical incidents.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Participate in architecture discussions and recommend improvements for scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

- Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure application quality.

- Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance across OMS applications.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

- Create technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills:

- 58 years of experience in software development with hands-on experience in Order Management Systems.

- Strong experience with OMS platforms such as IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan OMS, Fluent Commerce, Salesforce OMS, Oracle OMS, or similar enterprise solutions.

- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

- Good understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, logistics, or omnichannel commerce environments.

- Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse management, and fulfillment processes.

- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Understanding of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
