Role Overview :

As a Software Development Engineer, responsible for designing and building scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, powering real-time digital experiences for millions of users. This is an onsite role based out of our Bengaluru office, ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Systems Architecture & Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services tailored for large-scale applications, ensuring code is modular, efficient, and maintainable.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and QA teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver seamless end-to-end features.

- Scalability & Performance Engineering : Continuously optimize application performance and system architecture to handle high traffic loads, focusing on low latency and horizontal scalability.

- Quality Assurance & Testing : Maintain a high bar for software quality by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, ensuring system stability through every deployment cycle.

- Technical Leadership & Mentorship : Drive engineering excellence by participating in rigorous code reviews and providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

- Reliability & Incident Management : Proactively monitor application health and performance metrics to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues in real-time.

- Technical Innovation : Research and integrate emerging technologies and industry best practices to keep the backend stack modern, secure, and highly competitive.

Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in Java with at least 6 years of experience

- Deep understanding of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem

- Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs and microservices

- Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

- Strong grasp of object-oriented design, system design, and best coding practices

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code

- Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

- Prior experience in high-traffic systems or real-time platforms

- Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities
