Node.js Developer - Express.js/Javascript

Job Description :

As a Node.js Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications.
You will work closely with DevOps, front-end engineers, and product managers to deliver cloud-native applications on AWS and manage relational databases with optimized SQL queries.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write efficient, reusable, and secure JavaScript code (ES6+) on both server-side and client-side (if full stack).

- Work with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, and CloudWatch.

- Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and schema designs (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL).

- Optimize database queries for performance and reliability.

- Implement serverless functions and microservices architectures on AWS.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system integration.

- Ensure application security, scalability, and performance.

- Integrate third-party APIs and data sources.

- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply fixes.

- Automate deployments and workflows using CI/CD pipelines.

- Document technical specifications, systems design, and process workflows.

Required Technical Skills :

Programming Languages & Frameworks :

- Hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, or similar frameworks

- Familiarity with TypeScript is a plus

Cloud & DevOps (AWS) :

- IAM roles and security policies

- CloudWatch for logging and monitoring

- Experience in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline

Database & Data Handling :

- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server

- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) is a plus

API Development & Integration :

- Familiarity with GraphQL is a bonus

- OAuth2, JWT, and API key-based authentication mechanisms

Testing & Code Quality :

- Knowledge of Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation

Version Control & Tools :

- Agile/Scrum development methodology

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

- AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.

- Strong analytical and debugging skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
