Network Administrator - Firewall

Job Description :

We are looking for a seasoned Network Administrator with 7+ years of experience in managing enterprise network infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and related network technologies.

You will play a key role in ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our organizations IT network systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.

- Implement and manage VPN, load balancers, and proxy servers.

- Ensure network security by managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.

- Regularly perform vulnerability assessments, patching, and log monitoring.

- Respond to network breaches, conduct root cause analysis, and mitigate risks.

- Proactively monitor network health and optimize for performance and uptime.

- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, perform packet analysis, and escalate as needed.

- Work with service providers and vendors to resolve external network issues.

- Maintain accurate documentation of network topologies, configurations, and changes.

- Ensure compliance with IT policies, audit standards, and regulatory frameworks.

- Participate in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP).

- Collaborate with System Administrators, IT Helpdesk, and Security Teams.

- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related escalations.

- Support infrastructure upgrades and office relocations/setup.

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

- Strong expertise in Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto network hardware

- Hands-on experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)

- Proficiency in firewall rules, ACLs, NAT, and IPSec

- Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG

- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices

- Familiarity with Windows/Linux networking, DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Certifications :

- CCNP or higher

- Fortinet NSE, Juniper JNCIS, or Palo Alto PCNSE

- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CISSP
