Role Overview:

As a Natural Adabas Developer based in Bangalore, you will serve as a key technical contributor responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and support of legacy mainframe applications. You will work closely with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that core business processes remain seamless and efficient. Your daily efforts will directly impact the reliability of the firm's data processing capabilities, ensuring that high-volume transactions are handled with accuracy and minimal downtime, thereby safeguarding the operational continuity of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain complex applications using Natural and Adabas to ensure high performance and data integrity for business-critical systems.

- Execute JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling, ensuring timely completion of daily operational tasks.

- Resolve technical incidents and system anomalies by applying ITIL-based incident management protocols to minimize service disruptions.

- Collaborate with infrastructure and database teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement system enhancements.

- Document technical specifications and procedural workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain compliance with internal quality standards.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in developing and debugging applications within Natural and Adabas environments on mainframe platforms.

- Proficient in writing and modifying JCL to manage complex batch job streams and system workflows.

- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, specifically regarding incident management and service delivery processes in a production environment.

- Ability to communicate technical complexities clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders to drive collaborative problem-solving.

- Proven capability to manage tasks independently and adapt to the requirements of a high-pressure, on-site work environment in Bangalore.

- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience in mainframe application support and development.
