Responsibilities :

- Design and Implement data quality management, metadata standardization, and stewardship processes across different data domains.

- Create and enforce data governance rules including taxonomy, reference data standards, lineage capture, and data masking/tokenization/encryption.

- Set up operational model : metadata ingestion pipelines, business glossary/dictionary, stewardship and ownership governance structure.

- Manage stakeholder alignment across IT, legal, privacy, compliance, data stewards, and business teams - conduct training, governance workshops, and audits.

- Support compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and evolving Indian regulations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

- Lead technical team delivery on roadmap milestones, monitor DG KPIs, and guide adoption of governance tools and processes.

Required Experience & Skills :

- Proven hands-on experience with key DG platforms : Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.

- Strong technical skills in scripting (Python, SQL), metadata/configure pipelines, automation, data engineering or ETL/ELT flows.

- Experience in establishing and monitoring data quality metrics, conduct data profiling, audits, and root-cause analysis to drive improvements.

- Working knowledge of cloud environments and integration practices (AWS, Snowflake, databases).

- Understanding of SDLC, Agile methods, Jira/Confluence, DevOps & data platform operations.

- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership abilities to coordinate across cross-functional teams.

- Educate stakeholders through workshops, training, and governance councils; manage governance awareness campaigns.
