Role Overview :

Seeking a strong MuleSoft Architect to lead the architecture, design, governance, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API-led connectivity, cloud integration, security, and high-volume enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end MuleSoft integration architecture across discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

- Define and govern API-led connectivity architecture using System, Process, and Experience APIs.

- Lead architecture and solution-design workshops with business stakeholders, application owners, product teams, and delivery leaders.

- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable integration architectures, high-level designs, low-level designs, interface specifications, and estimates.

- Design reusable, secure, high-performance APIs, services, event-driven integrations, and integration patterns.

- Establish architecture standards, API governance, naming conventions, error-handling frameworks, logging, monitoring, documentation, and security practices.

- Provide technical leadership for Mule 4 development, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, RAML/OAS, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, CloudHub, and Anypoint MQ.

- Design integrations across SaaS, on-premises, cloud, databases, ERPs, CRMs, Salesforce, and third-party applications.

- Define API security and access-control approaches using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mutual TLS, client ID enforcement, policies, encryption, and secrets management.

- Architect deployment topology, environments, VPC/private networking, load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.

- Drive CI/CD, source control, automated testing, deployment pipelines, release management, and DevOps best practices.

- Review code, API specifications, solution designs, and deployments; ensure conformance to architectural and quality standards.

- Diagnose and resolve complex integration, performance, connectivity, security, and production issues.

- Define observability standards using logs, dashboards, alerts, tracing, and operational runbooks.

- Lead integration testing, performance testing, UAT support, production readiness reviews, go-live, and hypercare.

- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and design trade-offs; propose mitigation plans and escalate proactively.

- Mentor MuleSoft developers and technical leads; improve engineering quality and reuse across projects.

- Communicate architecture decisions, technical risks, delivery status, and roadmap recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of overall integration or software-development experience, including substantial MuleSoft architecture and delivery experience.

- Proven experience as a MuleSoft Architect, Integration Architect, or senior MuleSoft Technical Lead on enterprise-scale programs.

- Deep hands-on expertise with Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Runtime Manager, CloudHub, Exchange, and Anypoint MQ.

- Strong command of API-led connectivity, REST/SOAP APIs, RAML, OpenAPI Specification, JSON, XML, WSDL, XSD, and API lifecycle management.

- Advanced proficiency in DataWeave, flow controls, error-handling strategies, batch processing, asynchronous processing, retries, caching, and exception management.

- Strong integration knowledge across HTTP/HTTPS, JMS, Kafka/message queues, FTP/SFTP, databases, web services, and event-driven patterns.

- Proven experience with API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, certificates, TLS, encryption, and secure credentials management.

- Experience with CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, VPC/networking concepts, hybrid integration, and on-premises connectivity.

- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling, data transformation, data migration, and data-quality controls.

- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable CI/CD tooling.

- Experience with automated testing tools such as MUnit and with performance, load, and resiliency testing.

- Strong solution documentation, estimation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Previous experience with a reputed MNC.

- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect Level 1

- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect Level 1

- MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1

- MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 2

- MuleSoft Certified Hyperautomation Specialist

- Salesforce or cloud-platform certifications are an advantage
