We are looking for an Engineering Manager - Backend with strong Node.js expertise and proven team leadership experience. The role involves owning backend systems, driving architecture and scalability, and leading a team of engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage a backend engineering team (hiring, mentoring, performance).

- Architect and build scalable backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB.

- Drive system design, performance, and reliability for high-traffic platforms.

- Oversee microservices architecture and distributed system components.

- Ensure engineering best practices, code quality, and delivery excellence.

- Manage production stability, incident response, and root cause analysis.

- Collaborate with product, frontend, DevOps, and leadership stakeholders.

- Plan and execute technical roadmaps and delivery milestones.

- Optimize cloud infrastructure and backend performance on AWS.

Requirements :

- 8+ years of backend development experience with strong Node.js expertise.

- 2+ years of engineering team management/tech leadership experience.

- Strong experience with MongoDB and scalable data modeling.

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and distributed systems.

- Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, caching, and messaging systems.

- Experience building high-scale, low-latency production systems.

- Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent stakeholder and team management abilities.
