Role Overview :

As a Senior Manager / Director Salesforce, you will lead a team responsible for designing, configuring, and developing Salesforce solutions across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. You will act as the local Salesforce technical authority, guiding solution designs, reviewing code and configurations, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring adherence to best practices.

The ideal candidate will be technically proficient and an exceptional communicator. This individual should be capable of setting the ongoing Salesforce roadmap in collaboration with the go-to-market team, while leading a small team of Salesforce technical talent in India. You may also oversee a couple of business analysts as part of your team to support analysis and solution design.

As a technical expert, the leader will bring strong knowledge of Salesforce development best practices, tools, and processes, provide technical recommendations to the team, and proactively identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance the platform.

You will collaborate closely with business analysts, solution architects, and Salesforce business owners to define requirements, estimate efforts, and deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions. You will also ensure proper documentation, participate in product demos and retrospectives, and drive improvements across the Salesforce platform.

Team Leadership :

- Develop technical acumen of self and team.

- Train, coach, and supervise developers on Salesforce and Agile practices.

- Lead strategies to solve complex technical challenges.

- Manage large-scale projects including JIRA project planning, resource management, and delivery oversight.

- Define and maintain global Salesforce development standards for code, source control, and deployments.

- Set the Salesforce roadmap in collaboration with go-to-market and cross-functional teams.

- Lead a small Salesforce technical team in India, with potential oversight of business analysts.

Salesforce Technical Expertise :

- Strong knowledge of Salesforce standard objects, workflows, API integrations, reporting, and overall CRM architecture.

- Experience with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Einstein AI, Agent Workspace, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, and related Salesforce modules.

- Hands-on expertise with Apex, Aura, LWC, Flows, SOQL, Visualforce, batch processes, and asynchronous operations.

- Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party applications, including Mulesoft.

- Knowledge of developer tools, debugging, automated testing, and release management.

- Salesforce Advanced Administrator and/or Developer certifications preferred.

Data Management :

- Understand relational database structures and ensure data governance.

- Collaborate with the Global Data team for data integrity and compliance.

Application Administration & Support :

- Serve as SPOC for L3 Salesforce support and manage production issues.

- Identify solutions for system/process issues and enhancements.

- Ensure quality in code and team deliverables in a hybrid engineering model.

Qualifications :

- 12+ years of total experience with 8+ in Salesforce technical leadership (technical lead, architect, or development manager).

- 3 to 6 years of experience in Service/Sales process improvement projects.

- Proven ability to lead development teams, enforce best practices, and manage a complex CRM environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while understanding broader business goals.

- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to set roadmaps and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

- Experience managing small, high-performing Salesforce teams, potentially including business analysts.

- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
