To strengthen our enterprise IT capabilities, we are looking for a Senior Network & Security Engineer who will lead strategic infrastructure initiatives and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our global network environment.
Role Overview :
The Senior Network & Security Engineer will play a critical role in designing, managing, and securing the organizations network infrastructure. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic architecture capabilities, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for network architecture, operational excellence, security governance, and mentoring engineering teams, ensuring that the companys infrastructure remains resilient, compliant, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Infrastructure Architecture :
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability network architectures across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN,
Wireless, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Architect scalable infrastructure solutions that support global business operations and enterprise applications.
- Lead modernization initiatives including network automation, cloud connectivity, and software-defined networking.
- Implement Zero Trust network architecture, ensuring secure segmentation and access control across corporate environments.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and industry best practices.
2. Infrastructure Lifecycle Management :
- Manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure including design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, upgrades, and optimization.
- Oversee deployment and maintenance of routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational playbooks.
- Lead infrastructure capacity planning to support business growth and global expansion.
3. Network Operations & Security Management :
- Ensure 99.9% network availability through proactive monitoring, fault detection, and performance tuning.
- Utilize advanced monitoring and observability tools to maintain network health, capacity, and performance metrics.
- Manage and optimize VPN connectivity, IDS/IPS, WAF, and enterprise firewall policies across platforms such as Checkpoint, Fortinet, and Sophos.
- Identify vulnerabilities, mitigate security risks, and ensure continuous network security posture improvement.
- Act as the final escalation point for critical network incidents, outages, and security events.
4. Leadership, Governance & Process Excellence :
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and infrastructure specialists.
- Define and track operational KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery metrics.
- Standardize incident management, problem management, and change management processes aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with cloud, security, and application teams.
- Promote continuous learning, technical skill development, and innovation within the team.
Desired Skills & Expertise :
- Strong expertise in enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN).
- Hands-on experience with network security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and WAF.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching).
- Experience managing enterprise-grade firewall platforms (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Sophos).
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and network segmentation strategies.
- Experience integrating on-prem infrastructure with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Hybrid environments).
- Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and performance optimization capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as :
1. CCNP / CCIE
2. Fortinet NSE Certification
3. Checkpoint Security Certification
4. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
5. AWS / Azure Network or Security Certifications
