Medtronic - Senior Software DevOps Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with software engineering, QA, and IT teams to streamline development workflows, improve deployment reliability, and ensure system performance and security across environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates

- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using logging and monitoring tools

- Collaborate with development teams to improve application scalability, security, and deployment strategies

- Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies

- Enforce security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis

- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and automation workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles

- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Kubernetes administration and Helm

- Knowledge of security, monitoring, and observability tools DevOps or cloud certifications
